Poet Vicenç Altaió’s flat—or perhaps we should say “the Altaió museum home”—is a kind of Forty Thieves’ Den just by the Rambla, with wall-to-wall bookshelves with thousands of volumes, and also works of art, sculptures, poems and all kinds of memorabilia witnessing decades of contact and friendship with the great names of Catalan culture. We visited him and he spoke to us of some of those great names of the 20th century with which he was lucky enough to coexist and collaborate.
